A dedication through Yad Yisroel is an opportunity to create a lasting spiritual legacy — in a place where Jewish life is being rebuilt from the ground up.
WHAT KADDISH IS
Kaddish is one of the most powerful prayers in Jewish tradition. Recited in the synagogue after the passing of a close relative, it brings immense zechus — spiritual merit — to the neshama of the departed. According to our Sages, Kaddish protects, elevates, and comforts the soul as it ascends through the spiritual worlds.
For mourners, Kaddish is also a source of personal comfort — a connection to community, to tradition, and to the one who has passed.
But not everyone is able to recite Kaddish themselves.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
A Scholar Who Speaks
on Their Behalf
Through Yad Yisroel’s Kaddish Program, a dedicated Torah scholar in Belarus will recite Kaddish on behalf of your loved
one — every day during the first year of mourning, and on
every yahrzeit thereafter.
The prayer is said with intention and care, in a living Jewish community that you help sustain.
Two Acts of Eternal Significance
Your Kaddish sponsorship carries a beautiful
double meaning:
The eternal merit of Kaddish recited on behalf
of the neshama.
The living merit of sustaining a Jewish community — in their memory — in a region once devastated by
war and oppression.
