Since 1989, Yad Yisroel has been running inspiring, joyful Jewish camps for disadvantaged children across the former Soviet Union. Our programs now serve over 400 children every year.

THE NEED
Three months with no school, no structure, and a challenging home environment is not just difficult for a child — it can be genuinely dangerous. Many of the children we serve come from homes affected by poverty, neglect, and instability. With long school breaks and limited supervision, these children face real risks on the streets.

Our camps offer these children a completely different kind of summer. They swim. They sing. They learn. They laugh. They form friendships that last a lifetime.
And they experience something deeper: the warmth and beauty of Shabbos. Real exposure to Jewish values. Kind, consistent adult role models — perhaps for the first time. Through interactive activities, sports, creative projects, and personal attention, campers build confidence, social skills, and a genuine love for Yiddishkeit.

For many children, this is their first encounter with a healthy and joyful Jewish environment.
FOR PARENTS

For parents — especially single parents, those working multiple jobs, or those facing their own hardship — our camp is a lifeline. They know their children are safe, supported, and thriving. And most importantly, the kids simply get to be kids.
FOR PARENTS
Our counselors come from around the world to serve these children — bringing energy, dedication, and Jewish heart. In a fun-filled, relaxed, and caring atmosphere, they inspire campers and introduce them to Jewish concepts that are entirely new to them.
Yad Yisroel’s camps go beyond filling the summer. They shape futures.
